Combining this change with the notion of taking monthly pictures from one spot drew me to my family's favorite rock outcropping on the East River Road. A spot where we had picnicked, sketched, fished and spent great times together. The day was spectatcularly cold and bright. Camera in hand I searched for the perfect view and landmarks so I could exactly replicate the location throughout the coming twelve months. Camera position was important and footing was disregarded. Wasn't too long before down went David, camera and all. Another resolution postponed!

The Farmington River offers so much to so many people. From fly fishers to worm drowners, intrepid hikers to gawking automobile passengers, skilled boaters to floundering first time floaters, and natural resource students to those unaware of the natural resource values at hand.
